CryoEM structure solution at the IBPC

Single particle cryo-electron microscopy is an invaluable tool for 3D structure solution of macromolecular complexes such as those studied at the IBPC. It is complementary to X-ray crystallography and we can now reach atomic resolution details.
We collect our cryo-EM data at large facilites such as the ESRF Titan Krios microscope

And we process the images locally with the computing power provided by the bioinformatics core facility http://www.ibpc.fr/fr/plateforme-de-bioinformatique-882.htm and the Laboratoire de Biochimie théorique GPU cluster http://www-lbt.ibpc.fr/computing
